Model HistoryWilliam Lyons and William Walmsley had commenced their famous partnership in Blackpool in 1922. The 21-year-old Lyons put Walmsley’s back-garden sidecar building operation onto a commercial footer – to such effect that the Swallow sidecar Company soon became coachbuilders, the curvaceous Austin Seven Swallow of 1927 being their first and most popular creation.
